A craft retreat here means a week built around one craft and one place. You learn from a maker who has practised it for years, in the landscape that shaped their work, and you eat what grows nearby at a table you share with the same people all week.
We keep it honest. Nothing here is a demonstration and nobody is performing. You go home with something you made and a week you will still be describing in detail months later.

Curation is really the whole of what we do. Long before a week is announced we are travelling, reading, asking questions and sitting with people whose work we admire, learning how a craft actually lives in the place it comes from. The itinerary grows out of all of that, built slowly around the rhythm of the making rather than around a list of things to see.

We choose every venue ourselves, and we visit before we book. We look for houses that belong where they stand: close enough to the land that you notice the weather turn, walkable to somewhere with a life of its own, and carrying enough history to be worth asking about. The place is not where the retreat happens. It is part of what you came for.
